Third Day on Holiday (Revised)

Ok...so, another day hiking but today was a much slower day, at least compared to yesterday.
This morning we met up with Lino and walked back to Paddington Station; I had a pasty for breakfast from West Cornwall Pasty Co. while the rest of them ate Krispy Kremes. After our health food break, we walked through Hyde Park to the Albert Memorial and the Royal Albert Hall. Immediately behind that is the Royal School of Mines. The lady at the front desk of the RSM was annoyed when I asked if there was a display or museum, "This is a college, not a museum". I tried to explain my reasoning based on the Mackay School of Mines but it fell on deaf ears.
From there, we walked to the Science Museum across the street from the London Temple. After only two floors in the museum (but 3 hours), all of our feet and ankles were worn out so back on the tube and back to Paddington Station for pasties for everyone.
Lino needed to pick up her bags at our hotel room so a return trip and up the three flights of stairs to the room. Back to Paddington and then a short farewell as Lino caught her train to the airport. We jumped to the other side of the tracks and rode to South Kensington. A short walk over to Harrod's, a visit to the fossil and mineral display, a prolonged stay in the bookstore and a short nap for Matt while everyone shopped. I even considered buying a pair of tennis shoes (trainers) but the pair I liked were £70 (that's $140) and they only come in sizes 8.5 and 12. No dice. This place sold everything from fossils to polo helmets to saddles to Beretta shotguns (the most expensive was £45,000!) and we couldn't afford a single thing!
We then walked back to the Underground station and rode to Westminster. Our plan was to take a boat tomorrow from Westminster to Hampton Court and we needed to go by the kiosk and get a departure schedule. However, it was closed and no schedules were posted. Back in the tube and into our hotel room, we rested our tired feet.
About 7:00pm, we walked about 2 blocks away for dinner in the Pride of Paddington pub, Dan and Kylie had fish and chips while Kathy and I had sausage and mash. Other than the annoying American at the end of our table speaking endlessly of his travels around the U.S. and all of his exploits, the night was truly British, including a football game on the television!
Back in the room, everyone is tired and trying to catch up on reading/notes/homework/sleep.
Photos to be posted when we get back to Sweden on Saturday.

What a fabulous vacation.
