Kathy's in Michigan for the next two weeks for the funeral of her aunt who passed this week. On her flight home, Kathy will just get off the plane in Stockholm and meet us there for the temple trip. The kids and I will drive down, it's only 12 hours to drive from Luleå!, and meet her at the temple.
The kids and I drove to District Conference in Umeå on Saturday morning and spent the whole day at the church. It was nice in the respect that they had LOTS of native English speakers and they provided translator headphones for us. I listened to speakers in english for the first time in several months.
We spent the night in a pretty mediocre hotel that was full of other Church members... a screaming child down the hall woke me up this morning. After the conference, we drove back to Luleå. A newlywed couple drove up and back with us so there was some company other than the kids and their iPods!
The new mission president, President Anderson from Washington, said, "Faith can move mountains, but don't be surprised if the Lord sends you a shovel". Under my breath, I added, "or a mining engineer"!
Kathy, so sorry about your Aunt. Are the kids on their own while Matt is at work? Party! Party! Party!
